Kirstin and David's stunning wedding at Dumfries House
What a day, what a day, what a DAY! It is always special photographing a wedding day but I have always said it is extra special photographing one where you know the bride or groom! I met Kirstin years ago playing mixed hockey and when she asked me to photograph her wedding I couldn't say yes fast enough! Dumfries House is stunning and somewhere everyone should visit if you get a chance! Loving these so far, plenty more to come - this is my longest blog post to date! #westofsc

Jen and Owen's intimate Scottish Castle wedding!
When Jen told me that their plans had changed and they had moved their wedding from a larger venue in Edinburgh to the utterly dreamy Barcaldine Castle outside Oban she asked if I would mind the drive over to Oban instead of Edinburgh? I didn't take long to reply back..... Barcaldine Castle is a stunning 19th Century "Ancient Castle" that still maintains almost all of its original features! And the fact that there was only going to be 30 guests made it even easier to decide

Fraser and Gabriella's Christmass-y New Year wedding
If the rest of 2019 is half as good as Gabriella and Fraser's wedding then I am in for a belter of a year!! A gorgeous mass celebrated at St Joseph's church in Clarkston followed by some bridal portraits in Pollock Country Park (just before the light disappeared!! and then onto Sherbroke Castle for the reception! Great weather, great people and (hopefully you agree) great photos too! Enjoy :-) #glasgowweddingphotographer #weddingphotographerglasgow #weddingphotographer #scott

Pete and Sarah's perfect Perthshire wedding
Sarah and Pete contacted me as soon as they had booked Murrayshall and from then on I have been looking forward to this wedding almost as much as they have!! The biggest reason for this (for me) was the promise of a golf buggy for the day to zoom around in taxi-ing them to various locations and Nikala at Murrayshall did not disappoint!!! I think Sarah's screams are still ringing in my ears from Pete's driving. I wouldn't normally do this but I feel as though I have to insert

Michelle and Ryan's wonderfully windy wedding
Michelle and Ryan got married at the beautiful St John the Evangelist Church in Barrhead. It was a wedding of familiarities for me as I photographed Louise and Derek's wedding in the same church last year and Ryan's brother Paul and Carole a couple of years ago at Glenskirlie Castle! The reason for the title should be evident in the images we got at the pier in Irvine.... it was blowing at LEAST 40mph but Ryan sheltered his new bride well and kept her warm while I took advan

Nadine and Andrew's Loch Ard wedding
Words almost can't describe how much fun this was! From meeting up with Nadine and Andrew on the Thursday beforehand for some photos with their dogs at Balmaha to meeting the boys for golf the morning of the wedding I had an absolute blast!! What a venue Altskeith House is! It sits on the banks of Loch Ard just an hour or so outside Glasgow - you could genuinely be in a fantasy world! The weather didn't exactly play fair until later on in the day but they were able to get mar

Catherine and Andrew's beautiful North Coast wedding
I grew up on the North Coast of Northern Ireland - although not many would realise this fact speaking to me now and I have always wanted to return to the area to shoot a wedding. Catherine and Andrew gave me just that chance and I cannot thank them enough for it!! I also can't thank them enough for soldiering on through what has to be some of the windiest conditions I have ever photographed in!! You guys were fantastic! Loved every minute of it, I will be in touch when I am f

Amy and Loic's Loch Lomond Wedding with a French Twist
This one was a LOT of fun! Amy and Loic were so relaxed - even when Loic was getting dragged up to Luss for "Oysters" (it was actually a surprise boat ride from Amy!) right throughout the day and into the evening reception it was an absolute blast! There were tears aplenty at times though with emotions running high before the ceremony and during the speeches! Loic's family are French and oh wow, do they know how to party!!! Fantastic day, thank you so much for having me along
